Water thoughts

My building at work is being renovated on the outside. Today I was watching a guy from the window next to the bathroom. He was pressure washing a wall that was totally covered with scum. As I watched him, I thought at first what an awesome job it would be to just stand there and blast away scum with water. He moved his wand up and down, sideways, back and forth.... always in either vertical or horizontal strokes. I thought about how long it would take him to finish the wall as the spray nozzle was not that wide. Probably at least most of the day.

As I continued to watch him, totally forgetting why I went down to the bathroom, I began to think how this job would not be fun. I mean he's standing there holding the pressure washer up in the air. Has to hurt after awhile. And the nozzle being kind of small, I bet he wanted to get done quickly. And how tedious to just spray left to right or top to bottom.

After a few more minutes he began looping the nozzle making random swirls almost as if he was writing his name in cursive. I smiled very big to myself and went into the bathroom.

I can't believe how much better your buildings look over there. Mildew is insidious - it creeps up on you unawares until everything looks grungy.
